Class Definitions
- Beginning Lindy Hop - This class witch is offered twice in the schedule before our
evening dances will focus on very basic moves. Perfect for someone who hasn't taken a class or
may have only tried a couple of times. The instructors will teach you a basic east coast step and
how to transition that into your lindy hop.
- Movin' to the Music - Giselle loves that jazz. She will warm you up with an hour filled
with footwork and syncopations that will keep you smiling all day. This class is great for all
levels. It's a good chance to learn how to really listen to the music.
- Classic Moves - In this three part series the instructors will teach you classic
swing moves done socially every time your one the floor. If you are just learning how to dance
or you want to dance more often or you want to dance with more people... this is a great place
to start.
Classic Moves I - This class will focus on the evolution of charleston into lindy hop.
Learning the roots of lindy hop is essential to really understanding the base and
techniques of the dance.
- Dips and Drags - Drags are a dynamic way to enter or exit a jam. Learn a few ways to
add some flare to your dancing. Jesse loves to drag Candy around... he will show you his favorite
dips, tricks, and drags. Too much fun to miss.
- Baby Steps - Have you ever heard of Balboa? This class is for people who have never
done balboa before or have very little experience with it. Come learn from two of the best that
the balboa dance scene has to offer, Nick and Sylvia. Might as well start with the best even if
you have to take small steps... they will go slow.
- Tricks Your Mom Can Do - Want some great new stuff to wow your friends. Tired of
the same stuff in jam circles...this is your class. Kim and David have been showing off for
years and we just can't get enough of it so I asked them to share a few tricks with you kids.

- Syncopation - Sean and Giselle partner up to show you some fancy footwork. If you
want to learn some variations on some basic moves you know this is the class. Add a little
variety to your dancing by learning how to listen to the music and jazz it up a bit. These two
will take you to the next level and make you look good.
- Swing Me - Who doesn't enjoy a great swing out? Shesha and Nikki will teach you
how to do a fabulous swing out. If you don't want to do the same old thing these two will teach
you several different variations on this lindy staple. Every swing dancer and spectator knows
a swing out can take your breath away. Boys learn a few more ways to leave those girls breathless.
- Beyond Basics - So you are one of those people that wait for a fast song...you love
balboa want to know a little more. Here is your opportunity. You should know the basic step,
come around, and cross over steps. Your ready for more.
- Faster Faster - So you like the fast music. You want to know how to do some faster
steps so you can dance to it? Shesha and Nikki have some great Fast Lindy steps they will teach
you. They have great style, don't miss this. Sure to fast, fun and entertaining.
- Charleston for Two - Jesse and Candy will take you back a few years for a lesson in
twenties partner Charleston. This class would be great for all levels. The Charleston is where
it began, the roots of many of the swing dances we do. Check this out it will be a lively class
guaranteed.
- Harvest Moon - This class focuses on combinations and patterns broken down from the Harvest Moon Ball
footage. You will learn one of the most popular combinations called First Stops as
well as some charleston combinations that you can use in competitions, jams as well
as the social floor. Bring a lot of energy to this class cause it is going to MOVE!
- Slip and Slide - You remember that yellow slip and slide from when you were younger.
When Nick dances he slides as if there were water right under him...smooth. Since we all want
to know how he does that he got an invitation to this event too. So he is going to teach you
some slides. Bring your good shoes and have fun.
- Dancing on the Ceiling - I suggest you learn how to dance on the floor before you
try the ceiling, in other words this class is for more experienced dancers. Your going to
have to come prepared for this one. Good shoes and a good partner….not necessarily in that order.
Kim and David will teach you a little something. Be ready for your feet to leave the ground ladies.
- Kick up Your Feet - Shesha and Nikki will teach you more fast moves as they throw
some crazy Charleston moves into your lindy hop. This class is great for people who know lindy
and Charleston and want to know how to combine the dances and move between them. Pay attention
to their style, this is not your twenties charleston this is its rebellious teenage kid.
