Mission Statement

Swing in the Colony is a unique part of the historical Colony Days celebration occurring annually in Atascadero, California to honor the town’s 1913 founding.

The mission of Swing in the Colony is to offer an opportunity for people of all ages to learn the origin and evolution of music and social dances from the early 20th century, by offering events which give them the opportunity to take classes, dance socially to live music and compete in these dances.
