Community Swing Dance Classes
Children's ProgramChildren’s After School Swing Dance Club Instructor: Nancy Seiler Nancy Seiler is a Central Coast resident who recently retired from teaching over 20 years, most of that time in Atascadero. She has also taken up Swing Dancing as a hobby and dances regularly in San Luis and Santa Barbara. She has also attended several camps including Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden to learn more about the history and performance of different dances. She studied classical ballet and danced folk dancing for 10 years in Switzerland. For six years Nancy volunteered to teach dance to the Rockin' Roadrunner Dance Club at Santa Rosa Academic Academy in Atascadero. This club performed Interpretive, Western, Latin, Swing and other ballroom dances for their talent show and for the Children's Competition during Swing in the Colony 2006. She has now generously offered to donate her time to spend teaching interested students of Atascadero Elementary Schools how to swing dance in order to also participate in the event this year.
