Dancing

Each of our three nights of dancing will feature live music and late night dancing. Dancers from all over California and even the country come to Swing in the Colony to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, as well as to dance with the finest dancers.

Music

Great bands and DJs are featured all weekend long including:

• Jonathan Stout and his Campus Five Featuring Hilary Alexander
• Dawn Lambeth and the Usonia Jazz Band
• John Reynolds and the Hollywood Hot Shots
• Solomon Douglas Swingtet
• The Cal Poly University Jazz Band
• Head DJ Kyle Smith

Classes

World Renowned instructors are featured for two days of classes. Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels are available to make all students comfortable. This years instructors include:

Contests

Saturday will feature contests for Amateurs and Professionsal alike where winners can win cash and prizes. Contest will include:

• Amateur Jack and Jill
• Professional Jack and Jill
• Amateur Lindy
• Professional Lindy

Accomodations

Many Fine hotels have set aside a block of rooms for Swing in the Colony guests at a discounted rate. Additionally there will be a limited amount of local dancers offering guests a spot in their home (exchange style). Be sure to reserve a hotel room early, or request housing (event registration required) early to ensure your spot.
